LINE NEXT’s Mini Dapps Reach 35 Million Users

■ Explosive user growth in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Korea in just one month
■ No. 1 Dapp in accumulative users recorded 1.7 million, No. 1 in revenue earned more than US$773,000
SEONGNAM, South Korea – March 6, 2025 – LINE NEXT Inc., LINE’s venture dedicated to developing and expanding the Web3 ecosystem, today announced that its Mini Dapp accumulated users reached more than 35 million in just one month after the launch.
Mini Dapps, launched in January this year, are powered by Kaia and are accessible directly from LINE Messenger through Dapp Portal’s Official Account, all without downloading a separate application. Designed to make it easy for users to experience Web3 services, users can navigate and use a diverse range of Mini Dapps on Dapp Portal.

The top 4 regions for Mini Dapp usage are Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Korea, demonstrating how LINE Messenger users are driving the service so far. More than 3 million wallets have been created and the average purchase amount per buyer is around US$39. Some 32% of the payments for Dapp items have been made through non-virtual assets such as credit cards, meaning that users who are not familiar with virtual assets are actively using the service.

42 Mini Dapps have been launched, with the most popular by number of users reaching more than 1.7 million accumulated users. The leading Dapp by revenue has earned approximately US$773,000. The leading Dapps are mostly casual games and social platforms, both of which are already well-established with users and helped break the entry barrier to using Web3 services.

“We are seeing explosive growth from all the regions where LINE is prevalent,” said Youngsu Ko, CEO of LINE NEXT. "This proves that we are now ready to popularize Web3 and as Dapps are planning to list their tokens, we expect to further expand our user base.”

“Our remarkable achievements in just one month since launching Mini Dapps showcases how a blockchain ecosystem can drive profitable growth while enhancing scalability,” said Dr. Sam Seo, Chairman of Kaia DLT Foundation. “Aiming to deliver the best of Web3 to Asian users, Kaia will continue to evolve by collaborating with exceptional builders and partners worldwide.”

Additionally, LINE NEXT launched a web version of Dapp Portal in February to increase accessibility to users who do not use LINE Messenger. LINE NEXT plans to partner with diverse developers through the Kaia Wave program and the LINE NEXT software development kit to introduce a diverse range of Mini Dapps that meet users’ needs.
