TOKYO – May 14, 2020 – LINE Corporation today announced that it has begun pre-registration for the new PC gaming platform LINE POD, which is scheduled to launch in Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries later in May 2020.
Designed to be a “total gaming solution,” LINE POD will enable users to play both mobile and PC games on one platform. Users will be able to log in easily using their LINE messenger ID and password to access a diverse range of games all in one place. Furthermore, LINE POD will have an “open chat” feature, which will enable users to communicate with friends and other gamers while enjoying their games. Available in Chinese, Thai, Indonesian and English, LINE POD will also provide the security and service know-how LINE has gained from years of operating a global messenger platform.
LINE POD will initially roll out a range of famous and exciting titles, including Free Style, the ultimate online street basketball game by Joycity, offering 3-on-3 team play with a wide range of skills and easy-to-use controls; and Game of Thrones Winter is Coming, a PC strategy game based on the HBO drama television series, officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment under HBO, and developed and published by YOOZOO Games.
Moreover, ArcheAge, XLGAMES' AAA fantasy sandbox MMORPG is slated to be released exclusively on LINE POD, along with Hunter's Arena: Legends, a unique hybrid of action RPG and Battle Royale genres by Mantisco, and Rebirth Online, an MMORPG by Caret Games that features impressive graphics and a vast, open world.

Pre-registration for the titles; Free Style, Game of Thrones Winter is Coming and ArcheAge, runs from today until May 24 through the LINE POD official account on LINE (Taiwan: @linepodtw, Thailand: @linepodth, Indonesia: @linepodid) and on the pre-registration page (Taiwan: https://game.line.me/pr/pod/zh_TW, Thailand: https://linepodth.com/, Indonesia: https://game.line.me/pr/linepodid/in). Additional titles are also scheduled to open to pre-registration subsequently. During the special event period, users who pre-register will receive several in-game rewards such as Astra Wings (Forever) for ArcheAge, Hip hop (Cap, set, Shoes) for Free Style, and an Arya Stark Medal, VIP Points for Game of Thrones Winter is Coming. LINE POD will offer both free-to-play games (with some in-app purchases) and pay-to-play games. Users will be able to purchase Coins through LINE Pay within the POD Store to acquire game items or game packages. LINE POD also plans to provide a wide range of benefits for users for a limited time during the launch period. Other game titles will be added to the platform later in May after the launch, providing users a variety of additional selections to enjoy.
