[Thailand] LINE Thailand Announces New CEO, Senior Appointments

BANGKOK – July 11, 2019 – LINE Company (Thailand) Limited today announced the appointment of Dr. Phichet Rerkpreecha as the new Chief Executive Officer of LINE Thailand. The move was accompanied by several other top-management appointments: Norasit Sitivechvichit as Chief Commercial Officer, Kanop Supamanop as Chief Content Business Officer, Chanwoot Luechaisit as Chief Marketing Officer, and Jayden Kang as Chief Strategy Officer. All the new positions will be effective as of July 15, 2019.

Currently the Director of Government Affairs, Dr. Phichet Rerkpreecha will take over as the CEO of LINE Thailand, where he will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic planning and direction, growing business partnerships and government alliances, supporting the management team and consolidating the businesses within the LINE ecosystem to drive future growth. He will also continue his lead role in Government Affairs. Before joining LINE Thailand in 2016, Phichet was the Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs at Google (Thailand). In addition, Phichet maintains a strong interest in the growth policies of emerging economies and supporting the global growth of Thailand’s businesses.


Norasit Sitivechvichit will switch from his position as Director of Commerce to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), where he will now be in charge of commercial strategy and operations for LINE Biz-Solutions (LINE’s lineup of B2B services), LINE Stickers, and business service innovation. Norasit was a top executive of Dentsu Media (Thailand) Ltd. before joining LINE Thailand in mid-2017.


Kanop Supamanop, currently Director of LINE Stickers, will become Chief Content Business Officer (CCBO), responsible for managing all content development at LINE TV and LINE Today, and expanding partnerships with leading content producers, both domestic and regional. Kanop joined LINE Thailand in early 2017 as the Head of B2C and LINE Stickers. Prior to LINE, he was AVP of Postpaid and VAS Proposition at DTAC.


Chanwoot Luechaisit, currently Director of Marketing Communications, will be appointed as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), in charge of marketing, marketing communications and corporate communications for all LINE Thailand services and platforms. Chanwoot has extensive experience in brand and marketing communications at leading organizations and advertising agencies. He was a Managing Director of Ogilvy PR Thailand before joining LINE Thailand in 2018.


Jayden Kang, currently Executive Director of LINE ScaleUp, will be appointed as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), responsible at strategizing the platform, building partnerships, developing new business, and strategic investment to strengthen LINE ecosystem, including LINE MAN. He joined LINE Corporation in early 2017, as the Head of Global Business Development in Thailand and CLM.
