Held biannually, the LINE x Intertrust Security Summit is an international conference for global researchers and experts driving advances in IT environments and technologies. It brings them together for a day of keynote talks, panel discussions, and technical presentations on the leading themes in security, privacy, and trust. As a whole, the summit thoroughly covers aspects of both the current and future security situation, aiming to give attendees the opportunity to further their knowledge on the latest security research, technologies, and risks, as well as regulatory trends and best practices.

In preparing for a new era of digital identities, the theme for this 5th iteration of the event has been set as "Safeguarding the New Era of Digital Identity and Digital Trust". With digital identities becoming more important in an increasingly digital world, talks and panel discussions will delve into the latest research and technologies, as well as the new risks. Planned topics include e-KYC (which has attracted the attention of the FinTech industry), scoring technologies for assessing individuals, the latest in authentication technologies (such as passwordless and biometrics), deepfake countermeasures, and research on AI deceiving AI.

Keynote speakers will include Natsuhiko Sakimura, chairman of the Open ID Foundation and a leading expert in digital identities, and Stuart Haber, chief scientist at Auditchain and an authority in blockchain. Additionally, four of the top Japanese and global identity service providers (NTT Docomo, Google, LINE, and Yahoo) will take part in talks and panel discussions.

Attendees can also enjoy a networking lunch during the day and a cocktail reception in the evening after the summit wraps up. Along with those already involved in security and IT, entrepreneurs, students, and anyone else from any occupation or position can have the chance to learn something new at the event. Those wishing to attend will need to register beforehand, with the summit able to host 200 guests. Registration opens today, so do not miss the opportunity to take part.

The official website will be updated as more information on the agenda becomes available.

About LINE x Intertrust Security Summit
Intertrust, a global leader in digital rights management and trusted computing, and LINE, a communication platform provider and developer of Japan's most popular messaging app, recognized that there was a need to accelerate change in the areas of digital trust and security, and build trusted end-points and services for the "infrastructure of the future" (i.e. infrastructure supported by AI, IoT, robotics, and other technologies). Under this shared goal, the two companies have partnered since 2017 to hold the biannual summit and endeavored to further understanding and information sharing within the fields of security and privacy.
