New Shop Offers a Deeper Level of Customization for the LINE App

Tokyo, Japan – February 7, 2014 – LINE Corporation, owner and operator of the free call and messaging app LINE, today announced the release of the Theme Shop for the Android version of LINE.
Themes have been offered in the LINE app since June 13, 2013. This free feature allows users to customize the LINE app to their liking, using LINE characters motifs such as Cony and Brown to add a personal touch to their start up screen, Friends list, Chat list, menu buttons, and more. With a total of 200 million downloads to date, themes have developed a strong world-wide following of LINE users who enjoy adding an individual flair to their daily communication.
The new Theme Shop is an expanded version of the former system that now offers users the ability to purchase a wide selection of themes from an online store inside the LINE app. Along with all the originals, the Theme Shop also offers Sally and Leonard LINE character themes for JPY 300 or 150 Coins. With plans to add Hello Kitty and Rilakkuma themes in the near future, the service is poised to continue to expand its lineup of popular characters.
Plans are also in the works to offer the Theme Shop on the iPhone version of LINE in the near future.

2. Purchased themes are supported for 180 days after sales end.
